Model’s Ex-Husband Arrested for Peddling Sex Tape

Model Carolyn Murphy’s ex-husband was arrested last Friday after allegedly trying to sell the couple’s honeymoon sex tape.

Police arrested Jake Schroeder in San Jose after Murphy claimed he was attempting to extort her by selling the tape the two made when they were married in 2001, according PageSix.com.

Schroeder was charged with extortion and was released Tuesday after officials from Internet Commerce Group put up the $33,000 bail. The Internet company had been negotiating with Schroeder to acquire the two-hour tape.

Last week, police raided ICG’s offices in Arizona and confiscated the video.

Schroeder has denied any wrongdoing.

Murphy, who is known for her work for Estee Lauder cosmetics and the Sports Illustrated annual Swimsuit Issue, has said she was shocked to learn her ex-husband was peddling the tape.
