MONTREAL—Mile High Media has announced the first films to be produced by the studio under the direction of accomplished auteur James Avalon. Two fan favorites from the Sweet Sinner studio—The Exchange Student and Naughty Neighbors—will be revived under Avalon’s keen, experienced eye. The series will also incorporate all the thrilling erotic tension and plot twists that consumers love. The Exchange Student 3 begins principal photography Nov. 18, featuring stars Lily LaBeau, Julia Ann, Evan Stone and Xander Corvus.
Avalon said he promises to be true to the original vision of Sweet Sinner and its acclaimed series, though he will add his own vision. In addition, he said he will shoot all movies he creates for Mile High Media on the Canon 5D for premium HD.
“My goal for Mile High Media’s Sweet Sinner and Sweet Sinema is to raise it to a new level of realism in sex, both visually and emotionally, where we capture a hot, intense, passionate, yet honest, erotic moment between two adults," said Avalon, adding, "It is important to me to ensure we never fall back onto a fabricated format.
"The new visual style I will bring compliments realistic sex, rather than attempting to cover lackluster performances with glamour photography," he continued. "It is important every aspect of the movie meets Mile High Media’s extremely high expectations for quality.”
After the recent parting of ways with longtime contract director Nica Noelle, Mile High Media brought in James Avalon to take over its couples-friendly studios.
Avalon’s features tend to be more than just quirky and interesting, with a penchant to cater to “the thinking man” who wants porn, while maintaining a reputation for keeping hard, intense and varied sex in his movies. Avalon competes well with the sexual intensity and hardcore level of most any style release, as demonstrated by the more than 20 adult awards he has accumulated in categories ranging from Best Group Sex Scene, Best Couple and Best Oral Sex Scene to Best Director, Best Film, Best Editing and Best American Film.
Combining a strong sense of story, character and visual style, his recent romance films have also gained impressive recognition. Avalon was awarded Best Straight Film of the Year (2011) by the Feminist Porn Awards, and his work is one of only three straight features from across the globe that was accepted by the Berlin Porn Film Festival to showcase the new trend in realistic sex driven by realistic characters.
