Several hundred adult companies submitted literally thousands of suggestions for AVN Awards nomination consideration by the September 30 cutoff date, creating a bulky list that will be whittled down to the final set of nominations to be announced in mid-November.
Only productions released between October 1, 2003 and September 30, 2004, that were in the hands of a minimum of 10 wholesale distributors or 100 retail outlets by the deadline were eligible for consideration.
When AVN announces the 2005 AVN Award nominees in mid-November, companies will be asked to provide a certain number of DVDs for each title that has received one or more nominations.
The 22nd annual AVN Awards show will be held on January 8, 2005, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
