MiBill plans to introduce to American webmasters an adult SMS payment service called Textbill by sponsoring the CyberNet Expo in San Diego in June.
The company says TextBill is an anonymous adult payment system that uses SMS. It has proved successful in European countries, which the company says are worth targeting because of the revenue potential they represent. As an example, MiBill notes that XXXSMSMovies.com processes more than 200 sales monthly using the system.
TextBill provides the same tools offered by credit card processors, according to a MiBill statement, and offers an extra benefit: “With all the clients who use SMS, you will get access to their direct-contact details so you can up-sell new content – new websites, new products, etc. – directly to their phones.”
The statement continues, “Billing people on their phones will explode in the next few years, so make sure you’re in it to win it by getting the massive amount of people in Europe spending their money with your SMS payment website.”
In the near future, TextBill plans to deliver to its clients a Wireless Access Protocol kit that will allow webmasters to develop WAP portal sites of their very own.
