Metro News Updates

Susan Yannetti reports: "Hi Gene! Just thought I'd give you an update on things that have been going on around here lately since we've moved.

"As you most likely already know, last week Metro moved to a new location in Chatsworth. The past few weeks have been hectic, but things are rolling along smoothly now. It's great to be in brand new offices and all in the same building [as opposed to three different buildings like we were before].

"When we have everything all set up, we're planning on having an open house to invite media, customers and friends over to see the new place. I will let you know as soon as we set a date.

"Last week quite a few folks were out of the office at the ECVS together with some of the talent, including Greg Alves, Danny Gorman, Harry Weiss, Houston, Ron Jeremy, and Madelyn Night. Metro, Inc. Distributors, our East Coast division, had a booth there with most of their sales staff based in Rhode Island. This was a very good show for us, especially with The Houston 500 getting so much attention and the Metro Media Center being such a hit with retailers.

"Claudia Chase won Best New Starlet at the Nightmoves Awards Show in Florida recently. She was there, so Ron Jeremy accepted this award for her and personally hand-carried her award across country to present to her. Needless to say, Claudia was thrilled, and Ron is a great guy for doing that for her.

"Two weeks ago, Claudia Chase and Houston shot a music video with the Kottonmouth Kings for their hit song, "Bump." We saw a rough cut of the video at a party the band held at the Key Club. It looks great -- you definitely get to see the girls in it -- and I think it has a good chance of being a hit on MTV. I will get a copy to you as soon as the final cut is ready and available to me.

"Houston was back on the Howard Stern show talking about her relationship with Brad, the prom date that Howard fixed up. Even though Houston told Howard that she grew weary of Brad's company after spending a week with him in Las Vegas and ended up throwing him out of her room on the last night, Howard was still interested in hearing every detail of their relationship. He's planning on having them back live in the studio next time Houston is in NYC, which now looks like mid-November. What's even more unbelieveable is that Houston and Brad are still good friends - they talk by phone regularly and send each other letters and cards. You try and figure out the attraction. I've given up.

"And the story goes on - MTV's The Blame Game is interested in devoting an entire show to the Houston/Brad relationship. Right now we're trying to work out dates to shoot. Between Houston's dance and personal appearance schedule and Brad's college classes, it's next to impossible. I will let you know if we can work this one out. I think it would be so hot to have Houston on MTV as a guest on one of their hit shows. I remember four years ago going up to the MTV Beach House in Malibu with boxes of videos each week and being told that me and the girls were welcome to visit anytime and hang out with them, but to have porn stars on camera was completely out of the question. This industry sure has made a lot of progress since then. I guess persistence pays.

"Madelyn Night will be featured in an upcoming issue of Pop Smear magazine in their "Seven Inches of Pleasure" column (either December or January).

"Misty Rain just returned from a trip abroad where she did a two-week personal apearance tour of France with Hot Video magazine. She also spent a week in Spain on vacation.

"Claudia Chase did her first photo shoot for Black Flys sunglasses last week as part of a new Flys ad campaign featuring her. The next photo shoot will be next week, when Claudia will pose together with "Saint," one of the vocalists for the Orange County-based Kottonmouth Kings. This is a project that developed as a result of Claudia appearing in the aforementioned KK video for the song, 'Bump.'

"Claudia Chase has made a deal with Screw, a new clothing company, to appear in their print ads and to wear their clothes in her movies and on personal appearances.

"Ron Jeremy just finished a three-day personal appearance tour of the greater Washington, D.C. area with General Video of America Mid-Atlantic division. He's such a popular character, he's one of the few male stars in this business that can support a signing tour all by himself. Ron is a great ambassador and a real plus for the Metro team.

"Claudia Chase and Shyla Foxxx are set to host the 1999 Halloween Pimp'n'Ho Party in Las Vegas on October 30. Last year, more than 4,000 people attended this all-nighter held at Club Utopia (Tabitha Stevens hosted). This year's party is at the brand new C2K nightclub at The Venetian. This event also serves as the club's Grand Opening. Doors open at 9p.m. Tickets can be purchased online by going to www.pimpnho.com or in person by visiting The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, House of Flys in Costa Mesa (Black Flys sunglasses retail store), or Dare Wear in Huntington Beach. For more information, call 714/973-7576 or C2K, 877-881-4C2K.

"There's more stuff but I know you can only digest so much at one time. I will send you another e-mail soon with more Metro, Inc. news. Until then."
