Voting has begun for the Miss FHM Tournament of Beauties, and Meriah Nelson is primed to take home the crown.
The contest, sponsored by popular “lad mag” FHM, is devised surprisingly similar to that of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Four groups of models (64 total) are divided up into regional competitions (North, South, East, and West).
Nelson (www.meriahnelson.com) is one of 16 models battling it out in the always competitive West region.
The latest issue of FHM contains a free supplement with a rundown of all the tournament information, brackets, and model match-ups.
Voting started Monday, and interested parties can vote online at
http://www.fhmus.com/girls/covergirls/missfhm/. The website highlights each weekly model match-up with sexy photos and easy-to-use voting tools.
In the first round, Nelson is matched against Sarah Bowers.
Each week there is a final vote to see who makes it to the next round. August 8 is the final week to vote on the top two finalists and whoever wins will be Crowned Miss FHM in New York, with a photo shoot and layout in the magazine.
“I think I should win because I am ‘the little girl with big curves,’" Meriah Nelson told AVNOnline.com. “Most skinny girls are sticks. Also, I have a great sense of humor that makes me unlike a lot of models.”
Wanting to give an example of her sly sense of humor, Nelson flirtingly added, “I shaved my white cat and dyed her pink and then asked everyone if they liked my shaved, pink, pussy.”
Nelson is resolute about drumming up support from her fan base to lead her to the title, which she says would be a boon to her career.
“I have tried out for many things all my life and have had a lot of losses and criticism, but all it does is make me stronger,” says Nelson. “I persevere.”
