Mercenary Releases Marco Banderas' Culos Gigantes

Mercenary Pictures has issued the first volume of Culos Gigantes, a new gonzo series from performer-turned-director Marco Banderas. The video’s title translates from Spanish as “Gigantic Butts."

“The idea for doing Culos Gigantes came to me very easily because big butts have always been my obsession,” Banderas told AVN.com. “As it was really my dream to do this theme, I was able to make the scenes completely real, not at all contrived or faked. My work on this occasion was pure delight for me, and I think it shows.”

Culos Gigantes fulfills its eponymous promise with a cast of big-booty beauties including Cherokee, Ariel Alexus, Luscious Lopez, Olivia O'Lovely, Sydnee Kapri and Katja Kassin. “In general, I think that the five scenes turned out very well, because the girls I chose were ones I had worked with before,” the director said. “If I had to choose a great scene I would say that the one with Katja Kassin, Cherokee and myself was all I had imagined it would be, because even though those girls are little, they sure make up for it with pure energy and passion. Cherokee had wanted to work with Katja for a very long time and that desire really showed, giving the scene the realism I was looking for. The DP scene with me, Lexington Steele and Sydnee Capri is another that stands out in my mind. It's always an honor to work with Lex as I always learn so much from him, even though working next to such a big guy makes me feel rather inadequate at times!”

The new release is Banderas’ second line for Mercenary. His first, The Darkside of Marco Banderas, was released three weeks ago. “Darkside is doing really well, even though it was released only a short while ago,” the director said. “It's doing so well that Lex has planned that I do one title a month from now on, between the Darkside series and Culos Gigantes.”

Banderas begins shooting his second Darkside volume on Dec. 23 for a projected Feb. 22 street date. Culos Gigantes #2 will follow on Mar. 22. In the interim, the director is independently developing a feature for early 2007 entitled The True Legend of Zorro. “It’s a project I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” he said. “After completion, I’ll offer it to companies and see what happens.”

Banderas is among the nominees for this year’s Best Male Performer award, placing him in direct competition with his own boss. “It may sound like a cliche because Lex is my boss, but I honestly feel honored to be nominated with him,” Banderas said. “Even though this industry may seem frivolous for most people, I take it very seriously. It's my job, and something that I strive to do my best at. Fortunately, my efforts have paid off, and after less than two years in the industry I have been nominated with the man that has always been my idol - I couldn't be prouder.”
