Mercenary Pictures has launched Black Moon Risin', a new line featuring black female newcomers with experienced black male performers. It is the first black-on-black pro-am line from the company, complimenting its other new girl title, Fresh Out the Box.
The first volume of Black Moon Risin', available on store shelves this week, features Lisa, Ashley Licks, Somaya, Eve Mayfair, Yazmine Fine, Vixen and Ashley. Three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year and Mercenary Pictures owner, Lexington Steele, also appears in the title.
"It's great to be working with new talent and helping to make sure one of their first experiences in front of the camera is positive. These are beautiful women and they are matched with partners who bring the most out of them," said Tina Tyler, the director of Black Moon Risin' as well as Mercenary's Fresh Out the Box, the all-oral IronHead series and Black Viking Pictures' solo male Handyman line.
Steele said that with the company's notoriety in the ethnic segment of the all-sex market and the growing sales from Fresh Out the Box, he felt that the market was ready for an all-black new girl line.
"We've always taken the ethnic market very seriously at Mercenary and no other company spends what we spend and gives the attention to ethnic market as we do," Steele said.
Mercenary series Black Reign has won back-to-back AVN Awards for Best Ethnic-Themed Series.
