CHATSWORTH, Calif. — McKenzie Lee, a former Club Jenna contract girl and AVN’s 2006 Best New Starlet, is returning to active porn duty after an almost three-year hiatus. During that time she became the mother of two girls, one two years, the other nine months.
The English-born brunette told AVN, “I enjoy making movies, I enjoy people watching me. I’m actually thinner than I was, 98 lbs., and I just had my boobs redone. I kind of reinvented my body a little bit, so I feel that now’s about the right time for me to come back.
“I am really passionate about what I do. My kids are getting bigger. In having that long of a break I really do miss it. It kind of made me realize, stick to what you’re good at.”
She said what she really wants is “another contract, with one of the big companies. Also, I’m more than happy to go back and be a gonzo girl again. Really, what I did before was gonzo-style sex in a feature movie.”
Although she has signed with the modeling agency Type 9, she hasn’t yet done any movies. “I want to try and make my comeback a big one. Rather than just, oh, McKenzie Lee, she’s back. I’m currently in talks with different companies, to really see what I can offer the industry and what the industry can offer me.
“I want to offer the company that I do a contract with the best of me. Unless I can do all of what I did before, and then some more, I haven’t really got anything to offer anyone.”
At first, she said, she’ll only be doing girl/girl scenes. “But we’ll see where that goes. I’ll revisit that in a few months time and see where my career is and what’s happening; that’s really up for review. I love doing boy/girl, it’s what I’m really good at.”
During her hiatus she’s kept a toe in the water by feature dancing. “It’s something I’ve been doing on the side to keep fit. I’m with A List Features. I dance this next weekend actually in Oregon.”
“I’ve been away for so long,” she laughed, “there’s still some familiar faces to me in the industry, but they’re very few. So I’m excited to work with new people. Plus some oldies too.”
