McKai’s Art School Sluts Lands in Art Show

Eon McKai’s innovative VCA Pictures release, Art School Sluts, has been selected for the upcoming “Art Slut” video program sponsored by Art US magazine.

The program, scheduled for 8 p.m. on Feb. 26 at The Space in downtown LA, includes 20 different artists from Southern California and spans two decades of “hand-made erotic video subject matter.”

The “Art Slut” event doubles as a fundraiser for Art US, a non-profit, cutting-edge, fine art magazine that is published by the Foundation for International Art Criticism.

The magazine helps bring attention to new artists.

“It was a process where they solicited participation from people, and the artists were selected by a committee,” Sean Carney, director of marketing for Hustler/VCA, told AVN.com. “I think it’d be safe to say that {alternative} porn has a wide crossover potential. Its erotic power is undeniable.”

Art School Sluts, which was McKai’s directorial debut, earned a 4A review from AVN in December. Among the other Southern California artists who will have their work displayed are Ante Bozanich, Dave Burns, Jeff Isaak, Bryan Jackson and Kadet Kuhne.

The event will include performances by Reverend Al, Dame Darcy and Janet Pants.

There is a “suggested donation” of $20 at the door. The Space is located at 125 W. 4th Street.
