Max Hardcore Redesigns His Site

Thanks to more readily available bandwidth, which knitted to his continuing effort to improve what he had in the first place, Max Hardcore has revamped MaxHardcore.com with a complete site redesign.

"I wanted to show more upfront what people can see on the inside," he told AVN.com "A lot of free clips, photo galleries, give a real good idea of what the customer is likely to find." As in, "huge" photo galleries with hundreds of pictures each and large, high-quality 100k photography, he said.

But Hardcore also wanted to, and made, a way for retailers and distributors to go to the site and order directly, through Hardcore's Exquisite distribution company.

"Bandwidth was an issue in the past," he said, "but now that there's more and faster connections, especially people who want online porn, we decided to bring the design make the design a little heavier. Now we've got larger clips up front, more photos, more options to look at, so you really get a good idea of what's going on inside.

"And we also wanted the distributors to be able to go there and make it a very linear click-through operation to get their DVDs," Hardcore continued. "But on the other hand we've got regular customers and they can go there and order both the American and the European versions of our videos and DVDs."

The revamp took between three and four months, Hardcore said, but he added that upgrading and improving MaxHardcore.com has always been an ongoing concern. "I mean, it would be hard to put your finger on when it started," he said, "because it never really stopped. We began in 1995, and as we learned and as bandwidth became cheaper, we decided to let it all hang out."

Hardcore has also launched CowboyBucks.com, an MP2 affiliate program which the company is "better able to customize…and serve our affiliate Webmasters better."

The CowboyBucks.com payouts are either $35 per signup for a one-time membership, whether trial or full-month; or, a 60 percent commission on recurring signups. "Plus, we can dial it in," Hardcore said. "If we have a good affiliate traffic coming at us and he's sending us 50-60 joins a week, we're able to dial it in and give him maybe a little better percentage. A lot of the larger outfits are using this, like LightSpeed and SilverCash. These are not cheap, these are very expensive programs. But they are so much more utilitarian, so much more workable."
