Matt Zane InZane

In the March 1999 issue of Details Magazine, columnist Anka Radkovich says that Matt Zane is the "it boy" of the moment in the world of Gen X porn. "Zane's work represents a subgenre of porn that combines documentary-style footage, music-video editing, home-movie cinematography, and candid, improvised 'acting'...unlike the high gloss productions...all of which have elevator-music soundtracks. These porno's are made by people who actually try to live the rock and roll life-style," Radkovich writes.

Proof that there's rock and roll in Matt Zane's life style, is the fact that Zane's record label, InZane Records, released its first CD, a debut from 'Empty Grave,' entitled Should've Been Gone. InZane Records has obtained national distribution, and all releases on this label will be available at music stores everywhere. Zane has signed 6 bands to contracts, all of which are scheduled to release albums in 1999. Zane, himself, is the lead singer in 'Society 1.' The band recently played a sold-out show in Tempe, AZ. Playboy's Sexcetera and Club International Magazine were there to cover the event.

'Society 1' will be releasing its debut CD, Slacker Jesus on April 27th. This is the corresponding soundtrack to Sexual Society Two, Zane's March 23 adult video release. 'Society 1' will also be appearing live at the Coconut Teaser on March 26. The band will also be joining the Pro-Pain tour in April. They will be appearing at Maritime Hall in San Francisco, April 17; The Ventura Theatre in Ventura, April 21; The Shack in Anaheim, April 23 and The Troubador in Hollywood, April 25.

Sexual Society Two depicts a rock star's life on the road, on the tour bus and backstage. It stars Gina Ryder, Mia Smiles, Regan Star, Barrett Moore, Melodey Love, Tavalia, Alba Del Monte, Camby, Charmane Star, 'Society 1' band members and Ron Jeremy.
