Mass British Child Porn Busts Expected

As many as five thousand Britons could be nabbed in a new mass child porn probe, after a tip led police to a warehouse holding a mass computer empire tied to a now-closed Filipino live child porn Website.

British news reports indicated the five thousand are believed to have logged onto the site, known as honeydoll.com, and paying up to $91US to direct and watch underage boys and girls in sexual acts shown over Internet Webcams, with police said to believe the boys and girls may have been as young as 11 years old.

The "mass computer empire's" owner is believed to be Dublin-born Robert Johnsten, who lives in the Philippines and is said to use the alias Brett Johnson, according to the Sunday Mirror. He wasn't caught during the raid that uncovered the computer warehouse, but he's been charged in absentia with producing child porn and is the subject of a massive British manhunt.

The raid also turned up forty computer hard drives revealing thousands of credit card details, according to the Mirror, which said the details included addresses of customers in Britain, Europe, and the United States.

A Filipino official, Efren Meneses, deputy director of the National Bureau of Investigation, told the Mirror his country's law enforcement has "a road map of British pedophiles, bank information, identities, addresses, and in some cases images.

"This is a worry escalation of the use of the Internet by pedophiles," Meneses continued, "and we will be in a position soon to share this data with U.K. authorities. We are cracking down hard on the predators and pedophiles who abuse young victims and play out their perversions through the Web."
