CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Adult director Mason has returned to Elegant Angel to helm the company’s upcoming gonzo release, Annette Schwarz Is Slutwoman. The title hits stores on Sept. 25.
Mason launched the Dirty Trixxx and Lady Fellatio lines for Elegant Angel in 2002. She left the company at the end of that year and directed titles for Platinum X and Hustler, but told AVN that the connection between her and Elegant Angel always remained strong. “I never truly left,” she said. “I have always stayed connected through friends at Elegant Angel and am very close to [director] William H.
“To be honest, I didn’t think I’d ever direct again,” Mason confided. “Directing, for me, has always been a process of self-exploration; I’ve validated my own sexual desires through watching other girls…it’s therapeutic, in a sense. And there was a point when there was a sort of dearth in the talent pool. Nobody was really inspiring me.”
Mason said that she felt the latest visit of European performer Annette Schwarz to the United States was a perfect chance for her to get back in the director’s chair.
“Shooting photographs was something I had set out to creatively conquer; I had shot and edited all of my stuff, but never shot the pictures,” she explained. “So I was shooting stills of Annette at one point during that learning process, and I found out she was going to be available for a movie. I jumped at the chance.”
Annette Schwarz Is Slutwoman stars the insatiable Schwarz, alongside Manuel Ferrara, Michael Stefano, Sandra Romaine, Deep Threat, Ice Cold, and 20 guys who performed in a blow bang/bukkake with Schwarz.
“I guess I’ve been known for shooting aggressive scenes, but I think that the most intense and aggressive thing about this movie is the interviews,” explained Mason. “Annette is full of such honesty and sincerity and the interviews truly look right into her soul…her emotional self.
“I shoot from my heart and always look for a connection [with the girl]. Usually, I’m creating the fantasy, but in this case, Annette just took me by the hand and I closed my eyes and followed her through the process. She’s so sexually open, and this is a pretty fucking intense movie.”
When asked if she will continue shooting for Elegant Angel, Mason replied, “I’ll see what the reaction is to this movie, but to be honest, I’d feel like I was cheating, if I shot another movie with anyone else but Annette.”
