Mary Carey Reveals Details About Can You Be a Porn Star?

Mary Carey dished out details of Can You Be a Porn Star?,the pay-per-view reality porn series that she co-hosts along with Tabitha Stevens to the New York Post, filling virtually a full-page of the Sunday edition of "Page 6."

28 aspiring porn starlets compete for a one-year video contract and $100,000 in Can You Be a Porn Star? A panel of adult personalities will rate the performances of the contestants with the final winner being determined in part by audience voting.

Carey had some interesting things to say about the contestants. "One girl had to leave because she was having mental problems," Carey said. "She was in her room yelling about hearing voices, and so the producers sent her home. Another had to leave because she couldn't find her AIDS test results."

Carey told the Post that one girl was Amish, one girl had only been with one man in her entire life, and "one of the girls had never kissed a girl before and was weirded out by it. I mean, if you have trouble kissing a girl, how are you going to lick her pussy." The Post, of course, blanked out "pussy."

According to Carey, the producers were hoping to find a pretty, well-spoken blonde. It seems the well-spoken part was a stumbling block for the contestants, of whom Carey said,"I never knew girls that dumb existed." Mary Carey will be promoting Can You Be a Porn Star? with Tabitha Stevens on the Howard Stern radio show on December 3. The series will debut on January 8.

Carey is also soon to be featured as a celebrity expert on VH1's All Access on an episode about the fine art of making out.
