Kick Ass Pictures contract-performer Mary Carey is seeking to turn her signature porn series, Mary Carey Rules!, into a reality – she’s running for Governor of California.
Carey’s boss, Kick Ass owner Mark Kulkis, who is also functioning as her campaign manager, announced today that the blonde porn star has decided to throw her hat into the ring for California’s recall election.
Work is already under way to gather the 10,000 signatures required by August 9 in order to be placed on the ballot. Carey herself will be campaigning and collecting signatures on Tuesday.

The alternative way of qualifying for the October election, gathering 65 signatures plus a $3,500 fee, is also a possibility.
Not only are signatures already being gathered, Carey, who is running as an independent, also has a campaign slogan: "We've had Brown...we've tried Gray...now it's time for some Blonde!"
And just because Carey is a blonde, doesn’t mean that she’s a bimbo. Kulkis reports that Carey attended an elite private school for gifted students in Florida. “She’s actually on the upper end of the IQ level believe it or not,” he said.
Kulkis points to MaryCarey.com as proof of Carey’s abilities. “She created her Website, which shows she knows to connect with the common man – and if you look at her Website, it’s obvious that the common manwould like to connect with her,” Kulkis said.
While acknowledging that Carey has no leadership experience per se, Kulkis insists that she has other attributes that more than compensate.
“She has spread much joy and good will through her brief career – she has a bottomless reservoir of energy to tackle any problems. She has an innate ability to make men smile,” Kulkis said. “And in times as difficult and as trying as these, what does the state of California really need? Promises that will be broken anyway? Or a set of big tits to look at?”
Carey was reportedly inspired to run for office by Ilona Staller, the Italian porn star popularly known as "La Cicciolina," who was elected to the Italian Parliament in 1987 after campaigning topless.
