Marc Bruder of CED, a company which handles adult features for cable, has this to say about today's announcement of the merger between Comcast and MediaOne, the nation's third and fourth largest cable television companies. Philadelphia-based Comcast is buying MediaOne.
Bruder: "I don't know what affect this will have on adult. We're waiting to see how this shakes down. We deliver adult programming to Comcast, but there aren't any stand-alone MediaOne's. We've been talking to the head of marketing at MediaOne to discuss this, but now that Comcast is taking over MediaOne it should be a little more palatable for adult to go in both the systems in a more aggressive way."
