Mansion Productions has upped the value of its software offerings once again, by developing the MP§2257 module – a plug-in for the company’s MPA3 back-end affiliate program software and Members Area Management System (MAS) software.
MP§2257 is a turnkey solution designed to answer the 2257 record-keeping question and has been tested and developed in conjunction with Raging Stallion Studios’ legal department. It features a searchable database with backup, archiving, and cataloging options for shared content. Users can search the database by URL, model, or scene.
“It’s tied directly into the content management system. It does everything that the law requires it to do and we tried to automate it as much as we [could]. Like any 2257 module it’s going to require some manual input, but the rest is pretty automatic,” Mansion CEO Oystein Wright says.
While the plug-in integrates with Mansion’s most popular software offerings, it also can be used as a stand-alone solution. However, MP§2257 is only available to Mansion clients.
“We took a worst-case scenario approach [in developing this] because we didn’t really know what the regulations were going to look like at the end of the day,” Wright says.
“We knew that a content management system had to have a 2257 module for it because we’re one of the leaders in that field and we made it happen.”
