Manic Productions Releases 2257 Records Management Application

Trevor Jorgenson, director of technical development at Manic Productions, has released Komply, a model and content record management application he says is 2257-compliant.

Tailored to ensure adult webmasters, primary and secondary producers, and content brokers have a comprehensive solution to the problems imposed by the updated 18 U.S.C. §2257 regulations, the system is specifically engineered to ensure full compliance with recently updated regulations taking effect on June 23, 2005.

“We needed a tool for our own business because of the short time to get into compliance and knew others were in the same position,” Jorgenson said, “So we decided to build a comprehensive tool to help everyone who needs to be in compliance get into compliance.”

Komply offers a single application to index and cross-reference model records, identification, required and additional documentation, other information, and content in a user-friendly interface that can also manage multiple primary and secondary producers. The system also sports a class-based user permissions system which offers a fully segregated interface in order to further comply with the new regulations by only showing an inspector the exact data he or she wants to see.

Komply is designed for cross-platform deployment on Windows or UNIX workstations or servers.
