Man Convinced Teen To Strip Live Online: Police

A 34-year-old man police say convinced a 14-year-old girl to expose herself live on the Web was arrested June 3, days after investigators seized his computers and several videotapes.

James Alex Walker was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd and lascivious conduct, selling obscene material to a minor, using a child in a sexual performance, and contributing to the delinquency of a child, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He remained behind bars with no bond set yet, according to the county sheriff's office.

Walker's house was raided May 30, where detectives took three computers, a compact disc burner, 22 diskettes, a Web camera, and other equipment and tapes, the newspaper said. The girl herself reportedly told detectives Walker watched porn tapes while she was at his house.

Investigators' reports seen by the Tribune indicated the girl was online in front of a video camera in Walker's house in late May when people in an online chat room asked her to take off her shirt and bra, and Walker asked her what the chat was about. The reports added that he urged her to do as they asked, saying, "You have nice breasts, anyway."

Walker, who was on a computer next to hers chatting with a friend, convinced her to show her buttocks and tried getting her to strip further and to touch her breasts, with a reported 31 people online watching the show, the police reports said.
