For the first time, the Grabby Erotic Gay Video Awards will have a people’s choice award.
Sponsored by online Video-on-Demand (VoD) site Maleflixxx.tv, the award will be voted on among nominated films by fans at the Maleflixxx site and presented at the May 28 awards show in Chicago.
“I am pleased to have Maleflixxx.tv as a sponsor of this year’s Grabby Awards, and excited about adding this new Maleflixxx People’s Choice Award to the evenings excitement,” said Big Daddy Ferguson, executive director of the Grabbys and publisher of Gay Chicago Magazine.
Nominated titles will be available for viewing in an online Grabby Awards viewing room, where fans can watch the movies before casting their ballot. Viewers will be able to rent either individual scenes or the entire movie.
The Grabby Awards viewing room will be open for 30 days, from April 27 to May 25.
“At Maleflixxx.tv we have always put the customer first and we want to give fans of gay erotic videos a direct say in who wins this award,” said Eric Johnson, president of Sureflix Digital Distribution, operators of Maleflixxx.tv.
Grabbys are handed out for best gay video, best all-sex video, best comedy, best director, best screen play and best actor, among other categories.
Past Grabby-winning videos will be available on Maleflixxx.tv and its network sites at 25 percent off the regular price, in celebration of the new award.
Nominees for the Maleflixxx People’s Choice Award will be announced in early April.
