Popular Toronto, Canada-based gay adult site Maleflixxx (www.maleflixxx.net) is upping the ante for its affiliates with the launch of an innovative new layout feature that allows webmasters to fully customize their sites. The new layout wizard, which is receiving its official unveiling at this weekend’s Internext convention in Florida following a soft launch in mid-July, furthers the benefits made possible by Maleflixxx’s aptly-titled Build Your Own Cinema software, which allows webmasters to build sites that reflect specific niche content or highlight different promotional tools.
The new layout wizard lets independent webmasters build a privately labeled version of Maleflixxx TV that is seamlessly integrated into their own site. “The key to this is that it has a lot of granular customization,” says company representative, Mary Gillis. “If you want to have a site dedicated exclusively to Latino twinks, you can do that now.”
“The ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach is no longer a valid way to run an affiliate program,” says Eric Johnson, president of Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution. “Webmasters are becoming increasing savvy and want unique and customized content that matches the focus of their existing sites and properly targets their markets.”
The layout wizard lets affiliates do more than just rearrange the layout of their web pages, however. Webmasters can choose from an array of over 65 themes – or choose just one – and create their own online theater from the several different modules offered by Maleflixxx. “Before you could only do a site devoted to [one of three themes],” Gillis notes. “But now, what all of our webmasters will be able to do is create a totally unique homepage for their theater. It’s literally build it yourself.” What’s more, webmasters can take a 20 percent commission on all customers for the life of their memberships.
Gillis says the new technology is beneficial to both Maleflixxx and its many affiliates. “We’re always looking for ways that we can increase the experience and the ability of the webmasters to target their traffic,” she explains. “Basically, it’s a partnership. Our webmasters very much drive our business; they’re a big segment of our revenue on a day-to-day basis, and the more we can help them target their traffic and get the content that their surfers are really looking for, the more both side stand to gain from it. They’ll have happier campers who are finding what they want really easily, and we’ll have webmasters who are increasing revenue exponentially because they can feed their traffic.”
In design for the past nine months, the new layout wizard was created following a poll that Maleflixxx conducted among their affiliate programmers. “We got three top responses across the board: cash, customization and content,” Gillis says. “And we think cash, customization and content are all one in the same.
“They all feed into each other,” Gillis explains. “If you can customize your content for your surfers, you’re going to make more cash.”
