MILLIONS SEE SANDLER'S ONLINE PEEPER

A racy, six-minute animated short promoting Adam Sandler's new CD, drew millions of Web surfers to view it over Labor Day weekend.

Available only on the Internet, The Peeper was one of the most watched video clips online during that weekend, says Variety, showing at several Web sites owned by Warner Brothers.

"The Peeper could serve as a model for the future of mainstream programming in the online world," Warner Brothers Online president Jim Moloshok tells Variety, in an interesting turn of phrase, considering the short is about a middle-aged peeping Tom who becomes aroused by women doing "really boring things".

"These numbers prove there is an eager audience hungry for entertainment on the Web," he continues.

You can get the clip at AcmeCity.com, warnerbros.com, wbr.com, acmecity.com/adamsandler, and adamsandler.com. Variety says viewers were pointed to Acme City, the free fan site-building service of Warner Brothers.
