METRO DROPPED FROM NASDAQ STOCK LIST

The high-tech NASDAQ stock market and composite has stopped trading in Metro Global Media, Inc., one of six adult entertainment businesses which is traded publicly - at least, says the composite, until Metro provides requested "additional information."

And that's all NASDAQ is saying so far. It's not yet known what such information NASDAQ sought. Metro's spokeswoman for investment matters was unavailable for comment Friday, while others inside the video company had no knowledge of the NASDAQ decision.

Attempts to reach NASDAQ media spokesman Wayne Lee were unsuccessful.

The Metro decision doesn't yet mean NASDAQ has or will stop trading all other adult businesses which trade on its exchange. At Friday's closing on Wall Street, the composite was still showing New Frontier, On Command, and LodgeNet Entertainment closing prices. Playboy Enterprises trades on the New York Stock Exchange.
