LiveCamNetwork 1.9 Launched: 2Much.net

LiveCamNetwork version 1.9, combining audo-video exchanges between multiple parties with what its maker calls a comprehensive but simple billing system, was launched last week by 2Much Internet Services.

“This new version is going to spread like brushfire,” said 2Much chief executive officer Mark Prince at the October 23 launch, where he previewed the software and noted that, although 2Much.net's core customer base is the adult Internet, the LiveCamNetwork has grown "quietly" among mainstream and non-adult corporate clients.

“Sex is money, and the adult industry has financed these technological leaps," Prince continued. "Now is the time for the rest of the world to catch up. All it takes is imagination. Version 1.9 is an application for the world at large. We have lawyers, financial consultants and even psychic counsellors. This is just the beginning.”

LiveCamNetwork works like a broadcast network, with each performer – "be it psychotherapist, financial consultant, or adult chat hostess," the company says – is the broadcaster, with the Website operating the LCN software hosting each broadcast the way television networks operate their affiliate stations.

2Much.net communications director Greg Jones told AVN.com 1.9 has been in development for approximately a year, and that the primary aim of the new version has been simplifying its operation and expanding the range of the broadcasting depth.

"There are aspects of this kind of business where they promise you up to a thousand broadcast channels – but can you?" Jones said. "But now, you can. And you can probably expand on that. It's technically an exponential extension factor, because we're interconnecting interconnections, networking networks."

The earlier version of LiveCamNetwork met with favourable response even with its somewhat more complex operation, but Jones said it was too soon to tell just what the full reaction to 1.9 would be, though he expected a favorable reception. "I'm working on gauging (the reception) right now, in fact," he said.

Other key features for 1.9 include per-minute pricing, conversion performance reporting, performer reliability, overall rankings, customer rankings by online voting, and an online picture database, as well as more television-quality imagery.

2Much.net's recent association with MCI WorldCom/UU Net, made with LiveCamNetwork 1.9 in mind, the company says, has also broadened bandwidth and business potential for the company, Prince said. “Website owners can stream literally thousands of broadcasts at the same time now,” he said at the rollout. “The complexity of these interconnected sites, sharing performers and broadcasts, is now minimized and each of their revenues maximized – helping the little fish survive in that great big Internet sea.”

The company continues keeping to its no-spam policy, Prince added, including strict policies against 2Much.net customers using spam despite its effectiveness for others
