Legends of XXX to Sign at Hollywood Show Jan. 3-5—UPDATED

UPDATE: Besides those noted below, the following adult performers will appear and sign autographs at The Hollywood Show: Amber Lynn, Kelly Nichols... and Jenna Jameson. Famed sexologist Dr. Susan Block will also be present.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—By this time, the name David Bertolino must be familiar to most in the adult industry. The producer/writer mounted a production of his original script The Deep Throat Sex Scandal, which ran for over three months earlier this year; it has since been optioned for a movie, and there's talk of possibly even a cable series based on the events depicted in the play, both of which have Bertolino's involvement. But his latest venture within the adult industry will be as the creator of the Legends of Adult Cinema section at The Hollywood Show. This popular mainstream autograph-seekers' Mecca is scheduled for January 3-5 in Hollywood.

Bertolino's been tapped as the operations director for the entire show, whose history stretches back more than 30 years, having first been held at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn on Vineland Avenue in the Universal City area before switching to the Marriott Burbank near the Bob Hope Airport. However, this year brings another change—to the Lowe's Hotel next to the Kodak Center on Highland Avenue in Hollywood—and at latest count, more than 50 mainstream celebrities will have booths, and at least 10 adult stars will be there signing autographs and meeting fans as well.

"They made me an offer I couldn't refuse—especially because I have the time to do it, so I'm going to go forward with it, and I'm now the operations director for the show," Bertolino told AVN. "It's a $20 admission, and each celebrity gets a table to sell their wares, and so, people sell various things of interest.

"We'll be occupying all the ballrooms in the hotel, so all the celebrities will be there, and they'll be in sections," he continued. "For instance, there's a section for a M*A*S*H reunion with Elliot Gould and Sally Kellerman and a number of those stars; there's a section for Power Rangers, all the original cast members of Power Rangers; there's a section for Porky's, a reunion of the Porky's movie celebrities, and lots more."

Also on tap will be mainstreamers Martha Smith of Animal House, Lydia Cornell and Deborah Van Valkenburg from the Ted Knight sitcom Too Close For Comfort, and Charlotte Ross from NYPD Blue, as well as Nastassia Kinski (Cat People), Natasha Henstridge (Species), and Kitten Natividad (too many Russ Meyer movies to name).

But the big news for adult fans will be the lineup of classic XXX stars. There'll be Ron Jeremy, of course, but also confirmed are Ginger Lynn, Nina Hartley, Veronica Hart, Kay Parker, Seka, Rhonda Jo Petty, Alana Evans, Alexandra Silk, Luc Wylder and Richard Pacheco—a collection Bertolino refers to as his "Dream Team"—and they're trying to line up several more, with feelers out to Christy Canyon, Debi Diamond and Candida Royalle.

The show will be advertising heavily over the next month, and will be promoted on the Dr. Susan Block Show, which this week will feature Richard Pacheco discussing his new book Hindsight: True Love & Mischief in the Golden Age of Porn, as well as porn stars Amber Chase and Patrick J. Knight. (Check it out here at 10:30 Saturday night, or listen for free on your computer here or on your mobile device here.) Dr. Block will also have a table at the convention, where she will be recording interviews for later broadcast.

Parking at the Kodak Center will be $10 all day, and for those out-of-towners, there's a special room rate at Lowe's, which can be found on the Hollywood Show web page.
