Legend has recently created a new, ethnic-centered division called Black Thunder Digital. The entire line will be distributed by Legend.
Donny Sands, national sales manager for Black Thunder Digital, said “ethnic-based titles were one area that we at Legend wanted to address.” Black Thunder will showcase a host of ethnic talent, as well as a variety of niches such as girl/girl, gangbang and fetish.
Sands said that one of the attractive qualities of Black Thunder will be the embossed foil packaging for their titles. “We expect this line to be really great sellers in the stores, because of the great packaging,” said Sands.
Sands and Black Thunder plan on initially releasing one title every two weeks, and as Sands puts it, “eventually get up to four titles a month, one per week.”
The first two titles will be Thunder & Lightning (hitting streets March 20), an interracial gangbang starring Kelly Wells and Trista Tanner and Holla Black Girl, a black-on-black lesbian title starring Angel Eyes and Jasmine Fine. The Black Thunder titles will be helmed by a variety of directors, with Leroy Jonez and Angela D’Angelo directing the first two, respectively.
