A new shooting location called Launch Pad Studios has recently become available to adult producers.
The 4,000-square-foot facility near the Van Nuys Airport is two floors and has 19-foot high ceilings. It features ready-made sets such as a living room, bedroom, jail and dungeon. In addition to gated parking on site, there are full amenities, including showers, bathrooms, two makeup rooms, a talent waiting room and a production office.
Co-owner Marko Bratina, who started out as an audio engineer and gradually made his way into adult, said the studio is geared for the adult film community though mainstream would be welcome, too.
“Everything is brand new,” Bratina said. “It’s something unique to see. There are brand new crown moldings, solid oak doors and fashionable new tile on the floor. It has a green room, a kitchen and an eight-person shower with rain heads. There is also a 26-foot syke. Everything is in-house.”
Bratina told AVN.com that with his contacts he could also facilitate editing, authoring and duplication services and can assist with production tasks.
“My partner and I are going to oversee it ourselves. My abilities are set designing and set construction,” Bratina said. “We also have the ability to be an in-house cameraman and provide lighting. We can do custom set design, and can direct and produce.
“…We’re someone you can come to that is family oriented and caters to making everybody happy. We’re completely versatile.”
