Today is the final day of eligibility for the 2006 AVN Awards. Titles must be in stores today in order to qualify for consideration. The eligibility period runs from October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005.
Ten days remain, however, for producers and performers to enter pre-nominations on the special AVN pre-nom site, www.avnawards.com/nominations. Producers and performers can still obtain a user name and password by emailing Heidi Pike-Johnson, AVN Senior Associate Editor, at [email protected]. The site, which is not available to the general public, will close down at 9 a.m. on October 10.
October 10 is also the deadline for producers to submit two DVD copies to the AVN offices of any title they wish to be considered for nominations, as well as sample materials used in marketing campaigns if seeking consideration in those categories.
Final nominations will be announced in November. The 23rd annual AVN Awards show will be held January 7, 2006, at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
