Larry Flynt on An American Resolution

In a last minute switch, with Playboy's CEO Christie Hefner out, Hustler publisher Larry Flynt, will be added to the program roster when An American Resolution, a four-week old radio show out of Phoenix [1310 on the radio dial], airs its Pornography on the Internet topic October 6. Show host Todd Hartley said he was thrilled to get Flynt who agreed to an interview taping Friday to accommodate the fact that he'd be out of the country next week. Hartley said Flynt's segment would be spliced into the overall format.

David Schlesinger will represent Vivid and will share airtime with Richy Martin, founder of Mayberry USA and Donna Rice Hughes, author of Kids Online: Protecting Your Children in Cyberspace. Hartley said guests are given questions before time and their responses are aired on the show's website www.anamericanresolution.com beforehand, allowing listeners to call into the show with a better grasp of the issue. "Our goal is to get people involved in this," Hartley said. Flynt, Schlesinger and company's responses should be up on the site Tuesday. The radio show airs daily 7pm to 8pm Pacific Coast Time and tackles a variety of topical subjects. Believe it or not, Hartley says the idea for the show came to him in a dream and it took him five years to get it on the air. Hartley says this is his first talk show. "We're trying to do something different with a solutions-driven show rather one based on arguments," Hartley says.
