BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Hustler/LFP founder Larry Flynt has organized a fundraiser to be held tonight at the company's headquarters in support of Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
"I support Dennis Kucinich because not only have I been a friend of his for 40 years," Flynt said in a media statement, "but I believe he offers an essential, viable and exciting option to the candidates that are more popular at the moment."
Kucinich is attending the event, during which cocktails will be served and both he and Flynt will address the approximately 150 expected guests.
The evening was arranged by Flynt, his wife and a committee that includes mainstream celebrities such as Woody Harrelson and Ed Norton (who starred in Flynt's biopic The People vs. Larry Flynt), Sean and Robin Wright Penn, Stephen and Kristen Stills, Melissa and Tammy Etheridge, Thom and Gail Steinbeck, Amy Smart, Esai Morales, Frances Fisher and others.
