LGI Limits Wholesale to In-House Movies

LGI Digital, parent company to the Virginia-based MVC retail chain, has announced that it will only wholesale adult movies that are created in-house. MVC stores will continue to stock titles from a variety of manufacturers.

"We will no longer distribute a full plate of adult movies from other companies because between the content that LGI produces and what our SexZ Pictures label is creating, there is no longer a need to obtain outside content," LGI CEO Bo Kenney said in a press release.

LGI distributes 250 Overkill comp lines, 35 Euro lines and over 100 Brazilian titles in addition to its SexZ Pictures releases.

"We do our best to keep the cost of our movies as affordable as possible to all of our customers both on the retail and wholesale level and by eliminating the extra percentage we would have to pay to third party vendors for their product; we can now pass that savings directly to our customers," added Kenney.

SexZ recently signed AVN Female Performer of the Year Hillary Scott to a five-year $1,000,000 director/performer contract. Scott's directorial debut Extreme Asshole Makeover is in stores Tuesday.
