LAURIE DRIVES A FORD

Laurie Holmes \nWOODLAND HILLS, CA - Laurie Holmes was already miffed enough over comments about her in a documentary about her late husband that she sued the man who made them. Now the porn star has sued Internet porn gossip Luke Ford and his Web server over republishing those remarks on his Web site in November.

The action filed by her attorney, Gregory Smith, accuses Ford and his server, Fantastic, of refusing to remove the comments from his Web site because they were false and defamatory. Holmes has already sued William Amerson, her former friend, and the man who made the remarks in the film Wadd: The Life and Times of John Holmes. She has also sued VCA, who produced the film.

"She was a hooker," Amerson had said in the film, a documentary about porn legend and Holmes's late husband. "While she was making a movie, during the breaks, she'd get dressed…she always dressed as a little girl because she knew that she could make more money from men if she looked younger. She'd go hitchhike around the blocks and turn tricks in the car and come back in time for the scene."

Holmes's suit against Amerson and VCA charged that the remarks were false because she never committed prostution, and California law makes it slanderous to say someone has committed a crime they never committed.

Ford republished the comments on his Web site in early November, the suit says, accusing Ford of wreaking havoc on Holmes's professional life and reputation.

"The above-described words," the action says, "were published by Ford with malice and oppression in that (he) willfully and intentionally published the above-referenced false statements, solely for the purpose of causing (Holmes) ridicule, embarrassment, and disdain in the community."

Holmes is asking for punitive and compensatory damages, though sums have not been disclosed yet.
