LA Sports Arena Announcement

Courtesy of XPW: "After eleven months of drawing sold out crowds to the San Fernando Valley's Reseda Country Club and Hollywood's Palace, Xtreme Pro Wrestling will move its home arena once more. This time, however, they plan on staying for the long term. Quickly becoming one of the largest wrestling companies in the United States, XPW began promoting shows throughout Southern California in July of 1999 and has amassed an impressive cult following. Mixing traditional pro wrestling with an authentic Hollywood flare -- more drama, violence, and sexuality -- XPW now brings its brand of pro wrestling to the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

"We are very excited about promoting our shows in this legendary venue," Vice President of Operations Kevin Kleinrock said. The Sports Arena does have a rich wrestling history. For decades it was the Los Angeles venue for the World Wrestling Federation including their home for the WrestleMania II and WrestleMania VII pay-per-views. "Not only are we bringing wrestling back to the Sports Arena, but we are bringing an updated, 'LA style' version of the sport," Kleinrock continued.

"XPW shows feature a mix of traditional matches, more violent 'hardcore' matches, and high-flying Mexican lucha libre style matches. XPW is home to many internationally known wresters including former WWF superstars "The Franchise" Shane Douglas, Chris Candido, Sunny, and Nicole Bass, and former ECW stars Kronus, Axl Rotten, B.D. Dudley, Chastity, and Mustafa Saed. Some of Mexico's top lucha stars will debut for XPW on April 15 at the first Sports Arena show.

XPW also owns and operates The Asylum, LA's premiere pro wrestling training school.
