CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The formerly transsexual Kimber James, who took home the 2010 AVN Award for Transsexual Performer of the Year, has undergone complete sexual reassignment and returned to adult with her own new studio, Kimber James Productions, which has inked a deal to be distributed exclusively through Pulse Distribution.
The first title from Kimber James Productions, Kimber James' Busty Adventures: Amsterdam is scheduled to street July 30.
"Since having my surgery a year and a half ago, I took the time off to really think whether or not I wanted to continue in the adult industry," James said. "When I decided to come back with the start of my production company, I could think of no other company other than Pulse to team up with and share this special marker in my career."
Added Pulse vice president of sales Hyland, "We were excited that Kimber came to us. We have done incredibly well with her titles from SMC, so this was a natural fit. I know that she will attract new fans now with her sex change, and we support her fully."
