Now we know why Kiki D'aire was missing in action during most of Adult Entertainment Expo: She was getting engaged.
D'aire's intended isn't in the adult entertainment business, but according to her manager Harry Weiss, that isn't an issue between the couple ? nor is D'aire planning to leave the adult biz just yet. "He knew who she was when he met her and what she does," Weiss told AVN.com, "and as of right now there has not been any decision to leave the business."
Weiss said D'aire arrived in Las Vegas for AEE two days before the convention but kept out of sight with her fiance. He said some of D'aire's friends and colleagues, who had left messages on her cell phone, became concerned when they received no word from her.
"Kiki called me when she got into Vegas so we knew she arrived safely," Weiss said. "Kiki is also very prompt in returning my calls, so when she didn't, I was more puzzled than concerned. Kiki is very self-reliant and not into the drug scene, so I wasn't too worried. When she finally got in touch with me, I knew there would be an interesting story."
That's one way to put it. D'aire appeared that Friday night with an engagement ring, "an extremely exhausted fiance, and the last bottle of champagne," as Weiss put it.
A wedding date has not yet been set, Weiss said. "Right now, they're very happy and in love and having a great time."
D'aire's immediate professional plans include continuing dancing dates and a film role, which Weiss didn't specify, due to begin shooting within the next two weeks.
