Apparently, somebody at HBO was quite taken with Katie Morgan’s appearances in last year’s miniseries Pornucopia: Going Down in the Valley. Because they’ve devoted an entire half-hour special to her, A Real Sex Xtra: Katie Morgan: A Porn Star Revealed, debuting Thursday night at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.
Spending a day with her in Los Angeles and some follow-up time in New York, the HBO crew delved deeply into Morgan’s biography, covering everything from her upbringing to her indoctrination into porn.
“They said I was just very intriguing,” Morgan told AVN.com about HBO’s interest in her. “I mean, to me, I’m just me, but I guess they saw something.”
As far as what to expect from the special, Morgan said it will provide a positive glimpse into the industry for “norms.”
“I don’t know if there’s really any surprises that industry people don’t know, it’s more to the mainstream people that think everybody’s kinda fucked up,” she explained. “It was a really good experience working for them; they’re unbelievably professional, but that comes from being a gigantic company, I guess.”
