Karina Released From Sin City Contract

Karina, the Finnish blonde beauty, has been released from her performance contract with Sin City Entertainment five months early. Karina signed a one-year contract with Sin City in September, 2002, and began performing for the company one month later.

"She's been let out of her contract. It was a mutual decision. It was very amicable - just one of those things that works better for both parties," Kylie Ireland, director of publicity for Sin City, told AVN.com.

Karina agreed with Ireland's assessment, and added that she felt it was an "honor" to do movies for frequent Sin City director Michael Raven, now under contract to Wicked Pictures. Before her Sin City contract, the actress had freelanced for about a month and a half, and is now returning to that status. Karina looks forward to taking some time to "recoup, get energy and move forward."

Karina will still be working in adult, and looks forward to spending more time developing her website and moving forward with her quest for greater rights for animals.

Karina performed in a number of features for Sin City during her time there, including: Dreamgirls, Island Rain, Love Letters, Kiss & Tell, Surfer Girl and Riptide.

Karina's most recent (non-sex) performance, however, was as hostess at the Kinko de Mayo Erotic Arts Exhibition on Sunday, an affair produced by Zen Girl Productions, and which will be cablecast nationwide by Sex Industry News, which employed Karina for the project. The actress also did several interviews with attendees at the exhibition that will be shown during the Sex Industry News presentation.

A new Karina vehicle, Whore, directed by Michael Raven, will be released May 7.
