Lakeland, Fla. native Kara Monaco has been named Playboy’s 2006 Playmate of the Year, the company announced today.
The 23-year-old, blue-eyed blonde will be featured in the magazine’s June issue going on sale Friday. She is featured in a 10-page nude pictorial and also stars in a video centerfold on DVD, dubbed Video Centerfold: 2006 Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco, which will be released on June 13.
The 5-foot 6, 110-pound model will receive $100,000 in prize money along with a 2006 Honda CBR1000RR sport motorcycle and a 2007 Dodge Charter SRT8 Super Bee, painted “Detonator Yellow.”
Monaco had worked at Disney World where she played Snow White, Cinderella, the Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland during parades before being named the magazine’s Miss June 2005.
A graduate of Lake Brantley High School, she is a featured instructor in two Envy series workout videos, as well as appeared on “CSI: Miami,” and in Men’s Fitness magazine.
She now lives in Los Angeles where she is pursuing acting and modeling.
Last year, she listed her turn-ons as intelligence and a good sense of humor and her turnoffs as hairy guys and cheaters.
