CHATSWORTH, Calif. – K-Beech is releasing an HD DVD version of the Mary Carey title Woman of the Year through the company’s Back End Productions line.
A standard DVD version of the movie was released in 2007, but according to Back End Productions sales representative Ray Burke, the company decided to reissue the movie on HD DVD due to Carey’s recent TV exposure.
“Mary Carey is getting a lot of play right now with VH1’s ‘Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,’” Burke told AVN. “She’s featured on there every week. Mary’s political escapades are also well documented so we felt like the timing, right in the middle of the current election, would also make for a nice tie-in.”
K-Beech has shot all of its titles in high-definition in the past two years, but this is the company's first HD DVD release.
“This movie has definitely been one of my bestsellers," said Burke. "Cash Markman shot a great looking movie with Mary Carey: Woman of the Year. A lot of companies have shot movies that they claim are in HD, but they really aren’t in the true HD DVD format. This movie just looks great.”
In stores Friday, Jan. 25, Woman of the Year co-stars Vanessa Lane, Reno, Mindy Main, Mya Luanna, Satine Phoenix, Lee Stone, Mike Horner and Nick Manning.
Back End also has a new four-hour compilation line called Killer Porn on the horizon.
