Jules Jordan repeated in one of the most competitive AVN Award categories of 2005 on Saturday night at the 22nd annual AVN Awards Show.
The Best Gonzo Release award that Jordan picked up for Gina Lynn's Darkside was the director's second AVN Award in the category in as many years. Last year, Jordan won the same award for Flesh Hunter 5.
Gina Lynn's Darkside is a seven-scene, double-disc showcase for Gina Lynn that featured her performing in every scene.
"It's a unique title. The only other female performer in it is Belladonna. It's a cross-breed, gonzo experiment," Jordan told AVN.com Monday night when he returned to Porn Valley with another bag full of hardware.
"It was shot sporadically over three months," he added. "One scene was even shot in Philadelphia."
The DVD included Lynn's first interracial scene with Lexington Steele and her first blow-bang, among other nasty exploits.
"It helped me gain more fans," Lynn said. "There were no limits on this, like my other features."
"I did it to do something new," Jordan continued. "Most contract girls are scared to cross over into the gonzo market. Gina was a versatile performer that could do a variety of different scenarios."
Travis Knight, Lynn's real-life significant other who also directs his own line of videos and manages her career, performed in three scenes in Darkside.
"A lot of people tell us only very few girls could do it," Knight said.
Jordan, whose movies are distributed exclusively by Evil Angel, also won the AVN Award for Best Anal-Themed Series for the third consecutive year for Ass Worship.
"That was great, three years in a row," he said.
And the Evil Angel star added a trophy for Best Interracial Release for Once You Go Black 3.
