Joone Featured on KDKA

Joone, Digital Playground’s founder and the director of Pirates, was featured on KDKA Radio Monday morning in Pittsburgh, Pa.

KDKA Radio is a division of Clear Channel, serving 36 states and reaching millions of listeners. The lengthy interview was in response to KDKA TV’s shock at over 30,000 downloads, in record time, of their television report capturing three sold-out shows of the Digital Playground/Adam & Eve movie Pirates to students at Carnegie Mellon University.

Investigative reporter and talk show host, Marty Griffen spoke with Joone for over 30 minutes as they fielded calls from students, consumers and parents about the controversial showings, which were funded by student activity fees.

Although he admitted he’s not a porn guru, Griffen said, “I was shocked by the interest. People are split, it’s men vs. women and it’s especially the older women who are upset by this type of film. Pirates is the best shot movie in that genre that I’ve ever seen. It’s definitely different. He [Joone] is very intelligent. He handled all the calls, even from the conservatives and he did a great job.”
