Director Jonni Darkko told AVN.com that he’s been thinking for a while about focusing an entire title on one girl.
“I did it with [Tiffany Mynx in] Tiffany & Company, and I really liked the whole idea of it, so I wanted to do it again. It’s a very fan-based format, to have a whole movie focused on one girl. I know I wish I had stuff like that when I was younger and watching a lot of porn…there was nothing really like that around.
“And there are really only a certain number of girls in the business that warrant having a whole title based around them.”
Darkko apparently saw that in starlet Gianna, as the helmer’s latest project, G For Gianna, has nine scenes dedicated to and starring the performer. The title will be released through Evil Angel/Jonni Darkko Productions on Jan. 10.
“Jonni had mentioned the idea to me a while back, and I know that people talk, so I was interested, but didn’t get really excited about it,” said the leggy brunette. “Then he talked to me about it again, and he was ready to it…we had some scheduling conflicts, but we were finally able to find some time to do it.”
The director said that he and Gianna talked for a few months about how they would approach the title, and then shot it over the course of a month. “We really put our heads together, and I asked what kind of scenes she wanted to be shot in, as well as what kind of scenes her fans wanted to see her in.”
What Darkko created was a huge variety of scenes and setting, focusing on the starlet. To open the title, Gianna gets down in a shower with performer Mark Ashley, then she goes g/g with Aurora Jolie, does a fourway sex romp where she’s joined by Candace Von, a foot fetish scene with Marco Banderas, a submissive b/g scene with Ashley, a fourway, tit-worship scene, a 14-guy bukkake, a blowjob scene and a solo scene.
“There’s nine scenes and it’s a big project, but the title is three hours long," Darkko said. "… I didn’t want to make it into a double disc, because I think people are a little overloaded with double-discs, and so often that second disc doesn’t get watched. This isn’t a long and drawn out title…it’s to the point.”
“Jonni really took his time and put a lot of work into every scene,” recalled Gianna. “He has a very creative mindset. I knew he would be a director that would do this sort of thing really well.”
Darkko explained that he’d chosen the busty starlet for her attitude as much as her sexiness. “Gianna has charisma. She’s really fun to work with…I have yet to see her in a bad mood…she has some really great energy.
“I think that Gianna has a unique look in this industry, as a naturally big busted girl. She hasn’t put in a bad scene that I’ve ever seen…she’s very dynamic.”
Gianna is equally as complimentary about Darkko and her on-set experiences with him. “He really brings something out of me that a lot of directors don’t…and not just out of me, out of all the other performers. That’s something I love about working with him.
“Jonni brings a sensuality out of me, and I love that…it’s not just fucking.”
