Jonni Darkko feels that he’s finally hitting his stride as he settles into his sophomore year at Evil Angel with number of projects lined-up that are consistent with his own sophisticated taste in porn.
“This is going to be a good year. I think my niche in the Evil Empire is to do things that no one else is doing. I’m doing totally different stuff, stuff that has nothing to do with rough sex or shoving a girl’s head in a toilet or anything like that,” Darkko told AVN.com. “There is so much of that out there that I decided to do something different. The market is oversaturated with that type of material.
“What I see happening in the business is a trend towards extreme sex just to be extreme. That’s not sexy, its disgusting,” he added.
Neither Bet Your Ass 2 nor Boob Bangers, Darkko’s first two releases this year, have even a single d.p.
“I hate d.p.s You just can’t see the girl. I just shot one, so that’s not a firm rule, but its not my thing,” Darkko said.
While Darkko prefers not to shoot scenes with two guys and one girl, he has no problem reversing that formula: Bet Your Ass 2, which streets February 25, includes both boy/girl and boy/girl/girl scenes.
Darkko suggests that he’d prefer every scene to be either boy/girl or boy/girl/girl or even boy/girl/girl/girl. “I like that as a fantasy. I haven’t even done that myself in my personal life, I haven’t even had two chics at once.”
And despite the title, the video doesn’t force a gambling theme into each scene. “I’m not trying to make it a situation where there has to be a set formula included in each scene,” Darkko said. “Its pretty straightforward though – the openings have great, sexy teases, and then bam! Right into the sex.”
Bet Your Ass 2 features Tiffany Mynx, Taylor Rain, Kelly Wells, Kaylynn, and Venus.
In Boob Bangers, Darkko’s new breast-worship series that was inspired by Japanese fetish videos, women are covered with various oils and lotions and focal point of the series is their breasts. “All the pops are on the tits. I dig it, and I haven’t seen it very often. I like putting some variety in because I get tired of seeing the same facial pop all the time,” Darkko said, “and it goes with the breast theme.”
Boob Bangers features Tiffany Mynx, Haley Paige, Luccia, Piper, Missy Mendez and Missy Monroe. Boob Bangers will be released on January 25.
Most recently, Darkko was working on yet another new series, one he considers his most unique to date. Anal Showdown pits two women who are among the top anal performers against each other by having them perform in similar scene situations – then letting viewers pick the winner via online voting held one month after each release.
“At the end of the video, there will be a Web address listed where people can go and vote for their favorite performer,” Darkko said.
As an incentive for fans to vote, Darkko plans on offering prizes such as autographed photos, DVDs, T-shirts and more.
Katja Kassin and Lauren Phoenix are the competitors for the first Anal Showdown. The winning performer will receive extra compensation from Darkko.
Darkko’s upcoming schedule also includes shooting the stylized debut volume of a new girl/girl series. “The scenes will range from hot girls looking like they just walked out of Gucci to women dressed up for a night on the town. I’ll just really mix of the styling to give the scenes a different flair.”
He also has a new blowjob series in the works, but hasn’t decided on a title for that yet either. Titles are the hardest part of creating a new series according to Darkko. “I’ve got a great one in mind that I can’t use though – its called Buttload. I think that’s a great title, but its for an anal creampie series – and I won’t do that. I just won’t do it. I think those are disgusting.
“They are the most dangerous scenes we have in adult. This is the adult industry, and I think people should behave like adults and recognize their responsibility not to endanger the welfare of adult performers by having them do an asspie scene.
“Besides, there’s nothing passionate about being disgusting. If there’s no passion, it’s just not that interesting. It’s certainly not good porn – and that’s all I want to make.”
