– John Florian, who has 10 years of professional sales experience in the adult industry, has taken over U.S. sales for Eurotique Entertainment.
Florian left Sin City in mid-December after a 3 1/2 year run as the company's point man for U.S. sales. He helped Flashpoint Productions during the 2003 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo and began working for Toshi Gold and Astral Ocean Cinema in February.
Now Florian focuses his talents on the Eurotique line, which is specialty and fetish-oriented adult product. He handles such series as Little Women, Skin, College Video Virgins and Maximum Perversions. Florian said he is also the man to talk to for all of distributors' "one-stop" needs. The company plans to begin selling new releases in April.
"It's cool. It's definitely super busy. I'm handling 95 percent of the distribution," Florian told AVN.com Wednesday. "As long as I'm happy, it's all good. I make my calls and do my faxing. I have a good relationship with customers and buyers. I always say (to buyers), 'Give me a try. I'll see if I can get it for you.'"
The 28-year-old Florian started his career in adult at National Video Supply in 1994 when he was 18. Then he went to San Diego to work for Homegrown Video/Xplor Media Group when that company was switching its business from mail order to wholesale. Florian stayed for 3 1/2 years before going to work for Fat Dog Productions. Then he sold Lincoln and Ford cars for a year at a major dealership. He liked the change, but wanted back into adult so began doing sales at Sunshine Films. Eventually, he landed at Sin City.
"There's never been a dull moment," Florian joked.
Florian said he ran into Gold during a trip to the gym and the relationship grew from there.
