Richroc Productions will release director Joe Gallant’s latest feature, Anal NYC. The Manhattan-set flick, which is shot in High Def, features starlets Haley Scott, Mia Bangg, Sandra Romain, Tyla Wynn, Aaralyn Barra and Tatiana Stone doing anal in every scene.
Anal NYC will be the first from the East Coast based Richroc Productions. “They told me they wanted something like ‘Sex in the City’ meets porn,” Gallant told AVN.com. “So it’s a real departure from the stuff I do for [my own production company] Black Mirror, and I knew that. Anal NYC is cleaner and classier [than my other work]… We didn’t use a lot of the back alley or rooftop locations that we’re used to.
“Anal NYC is a hot title, and it works as a great poker chip for me, because it shows that I can shoot in a cleaner gonzo style… I’m pretty ecstatic about. The cast is first rate, with a few locals, as well as people from the West Coast.”
Gallant, who scores the music for all of his titles, also laid the tunes out for Anal NYC. “I think the music works great,” added Gallant.
The veteran director’s politically-charged Ave. X, which released in Nov. through VCA, was recently shown at Manhattan’s Pioneer Theatre. “It was a really great time,” the helmer recalled. “I’m little older, so I’ve had the advantage of seeing porno on a big screen, but there were a lot of kids at the showing that had never seen porn in a theatre, so that was great. It was a different perspective for them, and Ave. X translated beautifully.”
Richroc’s next title will be the Heather Pink-directed Trust Fund Sluts, for which Gallant edited and scored the music.
Gallant won an Emmy Award in 1996 for his sound design work on the CBS soap opera “Guiding Light” and went on to make his directing debut in 2000 with Times Square Trash Vol. 1, when he founded Black Mirror Productions.
The director is also in the process of moving his production company from New York to Los Angeles.
