'Girls Gone Wild' founder Joe Francis was charged with misdemeanor sexual battery today for allegedly groping an 18-year-old girl during a party at a Hollywood restaurant in January.
Los Angeles city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan told the L.A. Times that the incident took place Jan. 20 at The Geisha House. Francis was reportedly seated next to the young woman, who repeatedly objected to his physical advances.
"Over the course of the evening he touched her breast, buttocks and inner thigh inappropriately 10 times despite being repeatedly told by the victim not to touch her," Mateljan said. "Another guest overheard her complain."
Francis is scheduled to be arraigned May 22. He faces up to six months in jail if convicted.
