Jim Holliday Memorial Set for Thursday

A memorial service for filmmaker and porn historian Jim Holliday will be held Thursday, January 20, 6:30-10:30 p.m., in the Empire Room of the Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12825 Ventura Blvd. (near Coldwater Canyon) in Studio City.

Called by AVN founder Paul Fishbein “one of the true creative minds of our business,” Holliday passed away from complications of diabetes December 16.

The celebration of Holliday’s life was organized by his close friend William Margold, who has dubbed the event “A Gathering of Angels,” in reference to the director’s favorite name for his female talent.

Industry insiders are invited to attend and bring along their favorite Holliday stories and recollections.

The only alcoholic beverage to be served will be Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, a Holliday favorite, along with a buffet of lunch meat and cold cuts.

Anyone wishing to RSVP may call (818) 501-6139, the office of Protecting Adult Welfare (PAW) and leave a message.
