Some very positive New Sensations news is that our contract star Jewel De'Nyle was recently nominated for "Best New American Starlet" by France's Hot D'Or. We are very excited about this! She will be attending the award show in France May 19. It's amazing that she has been honored so early in her movie career. Must be that raw sexual energy! If anyone wants more information on her just drop by www.jeweldenyle.com and see what all the fuss is about. Oh, by the way, after two months of delays, we are starting the programming phase of an interactive DVD-only product called My Playmate- Jewel De'Nyle.
Its shot point-of-view and dual camera to give the viewer a simulated sexual experience and/or a voyeuristic whackfest. Its being released through my new company Digital Sin and should be out in July. Let's hope for the best! Thanks, Scott Taylor/New Sensations/Digital Sin
\nEditor/cameraman "Giffy" comments on the recent Peter North-Mike Albo-JewelDeNyle controversy.
Giffy: "I shoot and edit for about a dozen companies...from Thomas Paine...to Al Borda of Pleasure Productions, Dave Cummings. You name it. I've shot all over the U.S., Europe and Canada. I've been an Internet source provider since before there was a "web." I've been doing this since ‘87.
"I have an alarm company, and what I was doing was putting up a bulletin board system, which is a dial-up computer system, with the latest versions of my building-control software for controlling highrise buildings with access control and gate entry. What I found out was people were trading dirty pictures which were horrible black and white scans more than they were downloading my software. And they were trading ripped-off scans from Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler...I decided I wanted to get my own girls and scan them. So back in ‘87 I started finding models in strip clubs. By the time ‘91 came around, I was probably the biggest adult service in the world, with over 70,000 pictures. Back then that was just huge. The Web started getting popular around ‘92-'93. I started selling web-legal content.
"That's how I got into the adult business. I've done about half-a-million stills. I started taking pictures of local San Diego girls. One of the people I shoot for has been in your column - Peter North. His movies are as good or better as anything else in the same genre. He hires the most expensive talent. He buys the most expensive locations. It's shot and edited on betacam with studio lighting. I think it's a pity that Hustler won't look at his stuff because of a feud with Mike Albo. But the whole thing with Mike Albo is funny. I was with Alec Metro when that whole thing happened with him and Mike Albo. I think I met Mike Albo once.
"I'm actually sorta surprised by how well Peter North takes the digs. I think it wouldn't matter whichever girl Peter happened to be with. Mike wouldn't like her. Is it the homophobic-thing? I don't know. Peter still denies to this day making gay movies and being part of them. They keep mentioning names in some of the [magazine] articles. The fact is, Peter's a great guy. I've been working for him for a couple of years, and he doesn't even pretend to be close to being gay as far as the way he operates and the people he hangs around with. But I think he's the nicest guy I've worked with in the business. It's a pity those two can't get along.
"I work with a lot of people I shoot between 25-30 scenes a month. I have a funny blooper reel that I've put together. I launch new girls in the business from San Diego. Some of the girls I started are doing really well right now. I'm based in San Diego. I used to shoot and edit for Van Damage and shot nearly all of his movies in the beginning. Then he met up with Patrick Collins.
I come up to LA to shoot and bring the movies down here to edit. I come up for a week or two at a time. It's not too bad. I have an apartment building near Jim South's office. A lot of girls live there. I'm pornstar-friendly.
I went to Mexico - the big trip last year. I shot that, brought all my own crew for Pleasure Productions."
