WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Wicked Pictures performer and director Jessica Drake and Team Wicked have started fundraising for the 30th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles on Oct. 12 in West Hollywood, California. For the fifth time, Drake is participating as a “Star Walker” and for the third year she has organized Team Wicked on behalf of Wicked Pictures for the charity walk in West Hollywood Park.
Having raised more than $20,000 last year for LA County AIDS organizations, Team Wicked aims to surpass those numbers with additional support. To help jessica drake and Team Wicked meet their fundraising goal, visit the Team Wicked AIDS Walk LA page.
"Having formed Team Wicked a couple of years ago for the AIDS Walk, I was very impressed with how everyone came together to raise so much money for a great cause,” said Drake. “Today I’m encouraging industry members to support Team Wicked and AIDS Walk as a show of unity and support for the community.”
Currently, Team Wicked is composed of 15 walkers, including adult performers Asa Akira, Allie Haze, Victoria Rae Black and Kylie Ireland, as well as industry staff, family and friends. “I’m really looking forward seeing everyone on Team Wicked work together to exceed last year’s total,” Drake added.
A participant in last year’s walk with Team Wicked, Asa Akira said, “I’m so proud to do the AIDS Walk LA with Team Wicked for the second year in a row. This time of year not only marks my anniversary as a Wicked Girl, but also the first time I ever did any type of volunteer work. It’s all because of jessica drake – she always has her heart in making the world a better place, and I am constantly inspired by her. I’m thankful to her for inviting me to join her again.”
“I’m stoked to participate in AIDS Walk LA this year, and to walk alongside one of my favorite co-workers, jessica drake, on Team Wicked, is an added bonus,” exclaimed team newcomer Allie Haze. “It’s a really amazing thing to watch our business come together and support each other, as well as gain support from our fans.”
Victoria Rae Black added, “I’m happy to be a part of Team Wicked! I’m one hundred percent thrilled to be involved, and I’m all about raising awareness. It’s a privilege.”
For this year’s event, some of Team Wicked’s members are offering donation incentives on their Twitter pages for fans and industry members who help drake’s team raise funds. Various donation levels will net a number of different giveaways. Those who donate $500 or more will have the opportunity to participate in AIDS Walk LA as a member of Team Wicked. Twitter pages include @thejessicadrake, @AsaAkira, @AllieHaze, @TheRealTeamVRB, @KylieIreland.
